ABOUT THE MORNING AFTER
The Morning After have been making music together on and off since 1998, before officially launching as TMA in 2008. The name was gifted to them by their earliest fans, who had a habit of partying a little too hard the night before. It stuck — and TMA have been living up to it ever since. Fronted by Dirk Klut, over 15 years and 150+ gigs a year later, The Morning After has earned its reputation as South Africa’s premier party function band. Their diverse repertoire of 500+ songs spans classic rock, ’50s and ’60s, ’80s and ’90s, pop, jazz, sokkie and the latest top 40 hits — and their ability to read a crowd and adapt on the fly is what keeps dance floors packed until the early hours, every single time.
