Native Young is a SAMA award winning supergroup led by Yannick Wilde. When asked how he would describe the project – Yannick says, “It’s a constantly evolving tapestry of culture, music and togetherness”
They call their unique sound ‘Kasi Pop’ – a blend of Afro-pop, folk, indie electronica and indigenous beats. Native Young will be releasing a brand new EP in 2023 and will be previewing new songs exclusively at their shows over this summer. The storytellers celebrate their brotherhood with an electric show focused on raw emotion, infectious melody and African rhythm. Expect to laugh, dance, cry and sing during this captivating performance.
Music is that ephemeral expression that seems to connect us all and It’s this sentiment that boldly shines in the eclectic and colourful tale of Native Young.
