Megan de Beyer is the author of bestselling book “How to raise a man: the modern mother’s guide”. In her talk she will be grappling with this complex issue looking at the role of the mother in a boys life especially as he enters puberty. She will also give insights into why and when it becomes complex and sometimes estranged. Megan’s wish is for all mothers to deepen their understanding of young masculinity so that they can empower themselves to support his emotional health and growth towards manhood. There are masculine and feminine energies that come into the mix that often become imbalanced during a boys surge towards manhood. We will explore why and how to heal rifts that happen over a lifetime.
