Local Kommetjie musician Mel Malisch presents “Rescued by the Rhythm” – a musical story of how song-writing that originated from loss and grief, has resulted in foot-tapping, infectious melodies about life, love and gratitude! She has recently released three singles through streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube, with two more on the way…. Her hope is to produce an album. Trained in classical piano but performing on her acoustic guitar, her music can be described as modern-folk with an element of story telling… Her lyrics offer fresh insights, and there is something personal about her song-writing that resonates, for those who listen.
