More than a tribute, this show reimagines the iconic music of Alanis Morissette through the lens of adulthood, weaving together classic anthems, stripped-back reinventions, untold stories and original music by Mel Malisch. Expect everything from explosive singalongs to intimate moments of reflection; Jagged // Reimagined is for everyone who grew up with 90s alternative music pulsing through their headphones — and still feels every word decades later.
With gritty guitars, expressive vocals and a deep love for the emotional honesty that defined an era, the Mel Malisch Band invite audiences into a theatre-style experience that celebrates not only the music that raised us, but the people we became because of it. Supported by SamJam on guitar, and the Lilac Duo on bass and drums (power couple Marcel and Licia van der Westhuizen) this is an experience presented by some of Cape Towns finest musicians… If you enjoy live music, and the chemistry that only happens on stage, “Jagged // Reimagined” promises you a night you will remember long after the final note…
