An evening of original story and song with Dave Starke (Guitar, Voice) and Nish Pillay (Tabla, Percussion).
Dave and Nish met 10 years ago at a shared gig. After an impromptu jam session, the two musicians decided to collaborate more regularly, leading to a series of well-received duo performances across KZN. After the release of Dave’s debut album, Duende, in 2018, the pair toured SA extensively with performances in the KZN Midlands, East London, Makhanda, Cape Town and the Garden Route. Thereafter, they collaborated on a second album and started to land opening slots for some of South Africa’s biggest acts. This was followed by Nish being invited to make guest appearances with a number of established performers, including Ard Matthews, Steve Newman and The Jack Mantis Band – with whom he opened for Grammy Award winner Ben Harper in 2019. Fast forward through the pandemic to today, Dave and Nish can boast several festival performances as well as film and TV music credits, including “The Killing Floor” and “Recipes for Love and Murder”. Their music is an acoustic blend of eclectic Folk, World and Jazz influences, presented with a gentle, warm sincerity.
This will be their first duo performance since relocating to Cape Town – not to be missed!

In fact, any seats booked under the same email address we will assume are together and arrange seating at one table.
