When the organisers of the original Woodstock Music and Art Fair first set their plans in motion in 1969, they anticipated sales of fifty thousand tickets. Roughly three times as many were sold. Attendance peaked at nearly half a million. It was an event that would help to define an entire generation and continue to influence music into the present day.
Jump down the rabbit-hole with us & recapture some of that free spirit at the lovely café Roux in Noordhoek, Cape Town, as we pay homage to some of the legendary acts & artists that first took the stage on a farm outside Bethel, New York, 1969.
All music will be performed Live by CrowFoot, a local outfit well known for its passionate & powerful renditions of music from this era.
“Remember what the dormouse said.”
