Many have commented that we have nowhere to go for a bit of an opskop in the deep south!! A place to dance, have some fun, meet some old and new friends. Well this is your chance! Let’s have some fun and make a difference.
Winter has arrived and so has the cold and rain. Times are tough for so many people and we would like to try and make a small difference. Some may say that if people can’t afford to look after their animals, they should not have them. They should be taken away and put into a shelter and re-homed. This is not the solution. The shelters are overwhelmed and some of the animals are either euthanised or spend too long in a shelter.
Most of the people of Ocean view love their animals but are struggling. We are raising funds to help these animals, 1 kennel at a time. Ingrid De Storie is one of the volunteers who goes from home to home, checking on these vulnerable animals. Calling the SPCA/Tears when necessary. Putting in a fence to get a dog off a chain. Trying to alleviate the suffering.
We will have the book on sale – Shine a light … (cash only) a book about what really goes on in our little valley, so close to where we live our wonderful lives. I challenge you to read it and not feel moved.
