Rolling Stones fans are in for a treat! Duck Chowles will, like a veritable chameleon, change his mannerisms and voice to adopt the persona of his alter ego, Mick Jagger. For one night only, Duck, together with Andy Murray & The Retro Rewind Band, bring you their special Rolling Stones tribute, “Paint It Black”!
Barnyard Theatre Entrepreneur and Show Producer, Duck Chowles, who has won acclaim for his spellbinding, authentic and sterling impersonations of Mick Jagger, will in the guise of this flamboyant rocker with his exuberant stage presence, bring the house down with Andy Murray on lead guitar and vocals & The Retro Rewind Band performing gems like Gimme Shelter, You Can’t Always Get What You Want, Angie, Ruby Tuesday, Miss You and Jumping Jack Flash, to mention but a few hits.
Who does not remember Eastern Cape-born-rock-and-roll artist, Duck Chowles, who performed in the hit show, “Sixty Something” and became recognized as “The Chameleon of Rock ‘n’ Roll” for his uncanny ability to perfectly mimic artists, especially Mick Jagger, down to the finest idiosyncrasy! Andy Murray and Duck Chowles started working together in 1993 at The National Arts Festival in Grahamstown in Duck’s riverting tribute to The Rolling Stones, called “Sticky Fingers”. The following year, the show toured the Eastern Cape and also completed a 2-week run at The Baxter Theatre in Cape Town.
To date, English rock band, The Rolling Stones, active for over 6 decades, and being one of the most popular and enduring bands of the rock era, have won 3 Grammy Awards, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and released more than 19 platinum or multi-platinum albums with chart-topping successes. By 2007 they had broken the record for the all-time highest-grossing concert tour 3 times, and they were the highest-earning live act of 2021. Enshrined as rock royalty, The Rolling Stones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004. Both Billboard and Rolling Stone have ranked them as one of the greatest artists of all time!
Long-time Rolling Stones’ aficionado, Duck Chowles, says “I listen to the music of The Rolling Stones every day of my life. “This show is a labour of love for us all … an opportunity for old muso friends to get together to play the real rock ‘n roll music, which still inspires us today.”
Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, once said, “Music is a language that doesn’t speak in particular words. It speaks in emotions, and if it’s in the bones, it’s in the bones.”

In fact, any seats booked under the same email address we will assume are together and arrange seating at one table.
