Rock lovers and die-hard fans of one of the most successful rock bands of all time will soon have the chance to thrill to the sounds of Pink Floyd in a stripped down show, when Mel Botes, undoubtedly one of the most respected and most talented guitarists and songwriters in S.A., will take centre stage at Café Roux, The Farm Village, 270 Chapman’s Peak Drive, Sunday 2 May 2021 at 5 pm. Doors will open at 4pm, show starts at 5pm and kitchen is open for early dinner until 7pm.

Mel Botes with his genial talent has been entertaining audiences all over the country for numerous years with his critically acclaimed musical performance, “Crazy Diamond – A Tribute to Pink Floyd”.  His brilliance as a guitar player has not limits in “Crazy Diamond” and music lovers are constantly swept off their feet. He has always acknowledged that Pink Floyd had a big influence on his music career, with their influence being evident in both his songwriting and style of playing. Audiences and critics agreed that he mastered the complexity and density of Floyd in a way that none of his other tribute shows have achieved. He has always enjoyed great success with his Pink Floyd Tribute shows at Café Roux.  He will be accompanied by the inimitable Simon Orange on Hammond piano and vocals and the lovely, accomplished vocalist, Sjanel Vosloo on backing vocals.

Over 20 songs will be performed along this scintillating musical journey, including Comfortably Numb, Echoes, Speak to Me, Breathe, Happiest Days of our lives, Another Brick in the Wall, Parts 1,2 and 3, Wish you were here, High Hopes,  and many more, all ensuring the audiences will be provided with a never-to-be-forgotten show!
