Koos Kombuis
Folky guitar and gutsy rhymes in Afrikaans en n bietjie Engels!
Koos Kombuis (born André le Roux du Toit, November 5, 1954) is a South African musician and writer. He gained fame as part of a group of anti-establishment Afrikaans musicians who embarked on the “Voëlvry” campus tour in the late 1980s.
Koos Kombuis has since achieved the status of legend in Afrikaans cultural circles. Two autobiographical books, several novels, poetry collections and column collections and a youth novel have appeared from his pen and he is considered one of the best lyric writers in Afrikaans with more than 10 CDs to his credit.
His music style is raw and honest!
