SAMA Award-winning instrumental trio Sterling EQ returns to “live” at one of their favourite Cape Town venues, Café Roux. After a gruelling lockdown, the vibrant three-piece is counting the days until they get to perform on a real stage to a live audience again for the first time. “We have been having flashbacks about performing live – I think we used to take it for granted” said Carina Bruwer, Sterling EQ’s flute player. “We can think of no more appropriate venue than Café Roux for our ‘live comeback’. We have a long and happy history and a loyal following at the venue; each and every show we have done here has been truly memorable”.
Known for changing the face of instrumental music in South Africa and beyond with their innovative performance and their extraordinary fusion of melody, rhythm and virtuosity; the trio boasts five successful album releases, more than a thousand five hundred live performances across fifteen countries, and three major local music awards.
