Can’t you see beyond the dream?! Reality goes by taking your soul, so grow and meet the people that are gone.”

Paulo Costa is a Brazilian musician and composer currently living in South Africa. Over the past 10 years he has been producing, recording and performing his own music and collaborating with many artists on a wide variety of stages.

After being part of so many original and cover projects, he has finally come to present his first official solo album. Recorded in South Africa and Brazil by an incredibly talented group of musicians, “Another life” is a compilation of 8 compositions with Samba and Jazz as main characters, but filled with multiple scents of Brazilian and World music.

The show is as well produced as the studio recording. Presented mainly with Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Stage piano, Bass and Drums, the band brings both an intimate and uplifting energy into the stage, taking the audience on a journey of intense feelings through the power of music and by the love of it.

“Music is being part of my life since I can remember. My mom used to lay me at her feet as a baby, so she could play the Organ at church. My father was my first music teacher, passing on his clarinet skills. I started with clarinet and then guitar, bass clarinet, saxophone, percussive instruments and still today I find so much pleasure in learning any sort of instrument. I first came to South Africa in 2012 and since then I have had a strong relationship with this beautiful country. I always noticed the similarities in between African and Brazilian rhythms but It was only after I moved here that I decided to blend some of them with Jazz, and this project came up.” (Paulo Costa)
